Carrollton H.S. Class of 1961
This
scholarship was established by the alumni of the Carrollton High
School graduating class of 1961. One of the scholarship
purposes is to motivate a high school student who has college
potential not to drop out of school because the student sees no
opportunity to go to college.
Available
to students graduating from: Any C-FB
ISD High School
Scholarship Criteria:

Scholarship shall be awarded at the end of a junior's year to
be paid upon the student's graduation from high school.

Applicant
must be a CFB ISD student.

Applicant
must have above average grades in the sophomore year and the
first half of the junior year OR above average SAT scores.

Applicant
must submit a written statement why he/she wants to go to
college, his/her proposed course of study and why he/she needs
financial assistance.

Applicant
must submit recommendation letters from at least 3 teachers or
counselors who recommend the student for the scholarship. The
recommendation letter should state that the student has put
forth the academic effort in high school, has shown a desire
to attend college and a belief that financial assistance is
needed.
Under no circumstances shall race, religion or
sex be given any consideration. |
